Service Description

Do you find yourself talking about being “bad” or “good” when making food choices? Are “forbidden” foods part of your dialogue when talking or thinking about food? Are your eating patterns changing around emotions? Join me in an introduction to Intuitive Eating (IE) guided by mindful self-compassion practices. In this one-time class, I will be sharing what IE is, what it is not, and will invite you to consider your own relationship with food and your body. So many people are tired of being preoccupied with food, harboring harsh criticisms of their bodies, and feeling shame rather than kindness towards themselves. These highly critical dialogues can contribute to increased stress, depression, and anxiety. Changing how we look at our bodies, their gifts instead of faults, is one of the many goals of IE. Including mindful self-compassion practice is a major source of support as one moves through the layers of body image and relationship with food. The practices that will be shared in class provide applicable exercises you can do every day, even for just 5 minutes, to begin talking to yourself in a more kind and gentle way. $20 class Pay cash in person or via online tab Friday May 10th 2pm - 3pm Emergence Movement & Wellness 521 East Peach St Bozeman, MT
